Orbx teases YBCG Gold Coast Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Orbx is gearing up for the release of another Australian Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The studio teased the development and upcoming launch of YBCG Gold Coast Airport this week, a project helmed by the prolific developer Matteo Veneziani and scheduled to be completed within the next couple of months.

The tease from Orbx comes with just a few details, but enough to whet our appetite. Matteo has been working on YBCG Gold Coast Airport for some time and is using an array of real photography and input from locals to ensure the airport is as authentic as possible.

The WIP screenshots reveal impressive modeling and texturing that is being put into the airport’s buildings and structures. While the project is still under development, it is scheduled to be completed in the next couple of months.

Located in Bilinga, Queensland, YBCG Gold Coast Airport serves as a key hub for travelers looking to explore the Australian Gold Coast, famous for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and lush hinterlands. The airport itself is a blend of modern architecture and functional design, catering to both domestic and international flights. It’s a bustling airport that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the Gold Coast, making it a prime candidate for a high-quality rendition in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Matteo Veneziani is no stranger to the MSFS community. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and high-quality work, Veneziani has a portfolio that speaks volumes, which includes a wide variety of airports and locations such as Sacramento Airport, Chester, Hollywood Burbank, Skiathos, Van Nuys, and more.

As always, we’ll stay on the lookout for further updates regarding this project!
