The CJ Simulations Rafale is now available in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace

CJ Simulations, a joint venture between developer CodenameJack and Dean Crawford from DC Designs, has announced the release of the CJS Rafale, now available in the in-sim Marketplace for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This release follows up on the CJ Simulations Typhoon and introduces a modern twin-jet fighter aircraft that is operational from both aircraft carriers and shore bases.

The CJS Rafale is designed to undertake various combat missions, including air superiority, air defense, close air support, reconnaissance, anti-ship strikes, and nuclear deterrence. The real-world counterpart of this aircraft entered service with the French Navy in 2004 and the French Air Force in 2006. The Rafale has seen combat since 2007 and has garnered a significant number of export orders, surpassing its domestic orders.

Priced at $34.99, the CJS Rafale is available for both Xbox and PC users in the MSFS Marketplace. The development took approximately a year and is an entirely new creation for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

CJ Simulations promises increased levels of detail in the Rafale compared to the Typhoon. Simmers should expect a steeper learning curve to fully grasp its systems, and the flight model is also said to be authentic and to feel “like a dream.”

The addition of the CJS Rafale to Microsoft Flight Simulator provides simmers with a new option for experiencing a modern fighter jet simulation. If you’re feeling a little nostalgic and prefer a more classic approach, that F-14 Tomcat from Heatblur and IndiaFoxtEcho is also freshly off the factory!
