Orbx releases Unalaska “Dutch Harbor” Airport for MSFS

The Orbx team has released today their newest airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Unalaska Airport (PADU), also known as Dutch Harbor Airport or by the official “Tom Madsen Airport”, was announced earlier this week and is now inviting simmers for some stunning Alaska views and riveting approaches!

This is a new creation from developer Matteo Venanziani, who brings us a highly detailed rendition of this challenging airport in the Aleutian Islands. Matteo is a very talented developer who is also responsible for BurbankSkiathos and Van Nuys airports, also published by Orbx.

PADU is often visited by treacherous weather, which causes about a fifth of flights to be canceled or diverted. Coupled with the short 4,500 feet runway, bordered by water on both ends, this is a place for experienced pilots!

With this new scenery from Orbx, MSFS simmers can experience a highly authentic virtual version of Unalaska Airport, but there’s more than that. The developer worked beyond the airport’s premises, extending the customized scenery to the nearby town and the main landmarks, such as Holy Ascension Orthodox Church and Bunker Hill.

The official product images look very good indeed and really serve as an invitation to visit this remote area of the world. With beautiful views and a detailed and realistic scenery, simmers are in for a treat with this new scenery from Orbx!

PADU Unalaska Airport is out now for Microsoft Flight Simulator, priced at US$15.94 | €15,96 | £13.77 through Orbx Direct.
