Fly an FPV Racing Drone in MSFS with PESIM’s Latest Release

Pilot Experience Sim (PESIM), known for their airports and the quite interesting Maule M7 aircraft released last year, has ventured into new territory with the introduction of a new kind of flying machine: an FPV Racing Drone.

Priced at $4.99 and available exclusively on the Microsoft Marketplace, this intriguing new addon allows simmers to engage in activities beyond conventional flight simulation… which may or may not be very interesting to you, but to each his own!

PESIM is clearly inspired by real-world drones to create this model for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer says the design and functionality of the Drone FPV Racer are notable highlights. Furthermore, PESIM asserts that the drone’s custom-coded flight model offers a genuinely immersive and fun flying experience.

The drone’s cockpit view is, as expected, simulating the first-person perspective that real-world FPV drone pilots experience. They basically get the view of the drone’s onboard camera, which is transmitted wirelessly to a headset worn by the pilot on the ground. From this perspective, the pilot is able to see the world from a different angle, often with the aim of capturing dynamic videos and photographs from a bird’s-eye view.

The drone can also be flown from the external camera, as is possible with every other aircraft in the sim.

PESIM’s Drone FPV Racer is now available on the MSFS Marketplace for both PC and Xbox, and also through third-party stores such as Simmarket and iniBuilds.
