Just Flight’s Awesome Avro Vulcan is now available in the MSFS Marketplace for PC and Xbox

A short update today to let you know that the formidable Just Flight Avro Vulcan is now available in the MSFS Marketplace for both PC and Xbox users. This launch follows the initial release for PC a few weeks ago through Just Flight’s store and is especially important for console simmers, who can now experience the beautifully detailed Vulcan and all its immersive simulation features.

The Avro Vulcan was one of the highlights of the end of 2023. The Just Flight team has meticulously developed the Vulcan, dedicating extensive resources to ensure its accuracy and detail. The development involved hands-on research with the real-life Vulcan B Mk. 2, XM655, located at Wellesbourne Airfield.

This approach has led to the creation of three variants of the iconic delta-wing bomber: The B Mk. 2 strategic bomber, K.2 Air-to-Air Refueling variant, and the Maritime Radar Reconnaissance (MRR) variant.

Highlights:

  • Authenticity and Detail: The package features three variants in 18 authentic paint schemes with stunning 8k textures. The realistic wear and tear are based on detailed reference photos of the XM655.
  • Sound and Effects: Experience the incredible ‘howl’ of the Olympus 301 and 201 engines, recorded from the actual aircraft. The sound package is MSFS-native and leverages the new capabilities of the simulator.
  • Cockpit Realism: The cockpit features fully modeled Captain and Co-Pilot positions with hundreds of functional switches, knobs, and controls. The package includes detailed animations and rear crew panels.
  • Flight Dynamics and Systems: The Vulcan offers realistic flight dynamics, based on real-world performance data. It features complex custom-coded systems like electrical, fuel, and engine systems, along with TACAN and VOR navigation.
  • Additional Features: This aircraft simulation includes realistic payloads, fully animated bomb bay doors, and other features like lift dumpers and a tail-mounted air brake.
  • Electronic Flight Bag (EFB): The in-cockpit EFB offers extensive control over various aspects, including simulation settings, equipment configurations, and fuel management.

The Avro Vulcan, a key element of the United Kingdom’s “V Bomber” program, was introduced in 1956 as a strategic nuclear strike force. The Vulcan fleet played a significant role during the Cold War and was involved in the Falklands War of 1982.

The Just Flight Avro Vulcan is now available in the MSFS Marketplace for $32.99.
