The amphibian Kodiak 100 from SimWorks Studios is finally available for MSFS
It took a while, but SimWorks Studios has finally launched today the amphibian version of the excellent and very popular Kodiak 100 for Microsoft Flight Simulator!
Today is a good day for turboprop fans in MSFS. Black Square launched its highly-awaited Steam Gauge Overhaul for the King Air 350i, while SimWorks Studios published a new variant of the Kodiak 100, one of the best turboprops currently available in the simulator.
The Kodiak 100 has seen universal acclaim since it came out late last year. It’s a brilliant combination of beautiful visuals, realistic systems and performance, and an immersive audio experience that, all together, make for one of the most complete and involving small airplanes currently available in MSFS.
The Kodiak 100 is an incredibly capable machine, capable of operating in the toughest conditions and unprepared terrain, either in good weather or in IMC. Now, with the floats, it’s even more of a go-anywhere, do-anything kind of machine! The Kodiak can now get in and out of water bodies, bringing its reach and versatility to even higher levels!
SimWorks Studios says the team counted on the close collaboration of Kodiak’s manufacturer Daher, for the adaptation of the airplane’s amphibian version to MSFS, just as they did with the original wheeled variant. Besides the updated model with floats, simmers should also feel some differences in the aircraft’s performance.
Other than that, the amphibian Kodiak 100 comes with all the great features that have made the wheeled version so popular, including four different interiors (cargo, passenger, mixed, and summit), a wide variety of liveries, Garmin G1000NXi integration, and more!
The icing on top of the cake is the price: this superb aircraft is now available for just 14.99€! A bundle is also available with both wheeled and this amphibian variant for $48.00.
