A2A Simulations finally comes to MSFS. The Comanche 250 is now out!

After three years of dedicated work and plenty of secrecy, A2A Simulations has released today the much-anticipated Accu-Sim Comanche 250 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The company’s President, Scott Gentile, proudly unveiled the new aircraft, which is powered by the groundbreaking “Accu-Sim 2.0” technology.

We’ve been steadily working on an all-new way to create airplanes called ‘Accu-Sim 2.0’“, Gentile said. “This latest version was built brand new from a clean slate. It represents a quantum leap for us, and it’s the beginning of a whole new way of developing airplanes for flight simulation.

The Comanche 250 is the first aircraft to be simulated with Accu-Sim 2.0, an airplane Gentile has owned and operated for over 10 years. “Owning the airplane offers tremendous advantages as you don’t need to ask permission or explain why you need to perform some odd sounding test“, he explained.

The new aircraft promises an immersive flight simulation experience like no other. It employs a brand-new external aerodynamics engine designed with Accu-Sim 2.0 ‘Merlin’ technology, guaranteeing an unparalleled level of realism in aircraft handling and behavior. The visual experience is also impressive, with beautifully rendered external and internal modeling, dynamic aircraft registration decals, and advanced animations.

The Comanche 250 also features a complete physics-based per-cylinder simulation of the Lycoming O-540-A internal combustion engine, a dynamic ground physics feature, an advanced turbulence system, and a sophisticated airframe vibration physics system. It also boasts an authentic fuel system, a custom oil system, and an advanced engine starter simulation.

In addition to these features, the aircraft comes with a detailed JPI EDM 830 engine monitor, a custom-coded Narco avionics stack, customizable integration of MSFS default/Working Title GNS 430W and 530W GPS units, and support for PMS GTN 750 and TDS GTN 750Xi. It also includes a Century NSD-360A HSI with custom needle-smoothing physics and an advanced simulation of the S-TEC System 30 two-axis autopilot.

A2A Simulations recently published a video featuring Gentile, who provides an in-depth analysis of engine management, specifically addressing the power-to-RPM relationship and optimal mixture settings. He also demonstrates the efficiency of low RPM cruising and how minor changes in RPM can significantly influence fuel efficiency, engine temperature, and overall wear and tear in the engine.

Despite the exhaustive list of features, A2A assures that the Comanche 250 will have fluid in-sim performance comparable with default aircraft of the same class.

The Comanche 250 is shaping up to be a groundbreaking addition to the MSFS platform. “This is an aircraft worth waiting for!” Gentile concluded.

The Accu-Sim Comanche 250 is now available for MSFS, priced at $49.99.
