(Postponed) Join Robert Randazzo, TheFlyingFabio, and more, as they discuss the impact of Flight Sim in the world

Update – Saturday 26: The Cross-Community Panel Discussion that was scheduled for today has been postponed. FSA announced that, respecting the wishes of participants, this live event will be re-scheduled for a later date. With individual developers and teams being affected by the current war in Ukraine, everyone felt this was not the time for this discussion.

The Flight Simulation Association (FSA) is organizing a couple of great new webinars this month, dedicated to two very interesting subjects. The first one will be an Introduction to Gliders, which may be useful for MSFS simmers even if the simulator doesn’t yet officially support this type of aircraft (but do check out the Discus-2C). The second webinar, which will be happening on February 26th, will be a cross-community discussion with a great theme and some notable panelists.

Robert Randazzo, head of PMDG, but also TheFlyingFabio, the popular and very knowledgeable Twitch streamer, will join Keith Smith (PilotEdge) and Laura Laban (Infinite Flight), to discuss the impact of desktop flight simulation in the real world. Many simmers often wonder if they could land a real airplane if they had to, using the knowledge gained during years in front of a PC. With consumer-level flight simulators getting more complex and realistic as years go by (and the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator is a perfect example of that), why isn’t this hobby further embraced by the aviation world?

This and other questions will be answered and discussed live by the panel. This is a selection of very fine individuals with plenty of experience in the field, who will surely provide very insightfull analysis about the subject at hand. Naturally, it’s also a great opportunity to hear what these beloved personalities have to say outside of their usual environments.

FSA will be streaming the event live, and we will be following that discussion very closely. To watch this webinar you will need a free FSA account, which gives you access to recorded webinar as well. As usual with these Cross-Community Panel Discussions, live participants will have the chance to win some cool prizes, so it’s worth it for many reasons!
