World Update 14: Central Eastern Europe and the Aero Vodochody Ae-45 are now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator
As promised, the Microsoft Flight Simulator team has just released a new content update for the platform, inviting simmers to explore Eastern Europe and enjoy a new Local Legend aircraft while at it, the Aero Vodochody Ae-45 and Ae-145. Time to dive deep into one of the most historically rich regions of the Old Continent!
World Update 14: Central Eastern Europe
The World Update XIV: Central Eastern Europe focuses on six countries: Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. This region, rich in history, architectural marvels, and breathtaking landscapes, is now available for exploration in MSFS with an unprecedented level of detail.
The update includes fresh aerial imagery, digital elevation data, and more. It features 103 points of interest, including castles, towers, and churches, all meticulously reproduced for discovery from the air. Six bespoke airports have been created in partnership with Gaya Simulations, and ten cities throughout the region have been recreated in stunning photorealistic quality.
The update also includes three discovery flights over Prague, Sarajevo, and Budapest, and three landing challenges in Croatia, Slovenia, and Slovakia. Additionally, four bush trips are available: “Czech Route,” “Northeast Adriatic,” “Danube Journey,” and “Carpathian Journey.”
World Update 14: Central Eastern Europe is available for free to all Microsoft Flight Simulator owners. To access it, ensure your simulator is updated to version 1.33.8.0, which should be the first thing you see when firing up the simulator today.
A new Local Legend: The Aero Vodochody Ae-45 and Ae-145
Coinciding with the release of World Update 14, the MSFS team has also released the Aero Vodochody Ae-45 and Ae-145, two distinctive aircraft from the late 1940s. These aircraft, developed and manufactured by Aero Vodochody of Czechoslovakia, are now brought to life in the simulator by the hands of Aeroplane Heaven.
The Ae-45, also known as the “Aero,” is a twin-engine, low-wing utility aircraft that can accommodate up to five passengers. It was introduced in 1948 and quickly became a success throughout Europe due to its visibility, range, speed, and reliability. The Ae-145, an advanced version of the Ae-45, features supercharged engines, refined avionics, improved flight controls, and an enhanced canopy.
Local Legend 11 includes both the Ae-45 prototype and the Ae-145, each with a selection of liveries. The Ae-45 is available with four liveries: Prototype, Polished, OK-FHA, and Plain White. The Ae-145 is available with four liveries: OM-NHS, SP-LXH, Red-Cream, and Silver-Gold.
