Red Bull’s ‘Bullseye Landing’ Challenge is now available in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Simmers looking for the ultimate short landing challenge are in for a treat today with the surprising release of a new Landing Challenge for MSFS. Red Bull’s ‘Bullseye Landing’ Challenge, which successfully landed a Carbon Cub on the helipad of Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Jumeriah hotel, can now be replicated by MSFS simmers from the comfort of their home in an exciting and free addition to the simulator that is sure to test the skills of even the most seasoned virtual pilots!

In March 2023, Red Bull aerobatic pilot Luke Czepiela successfully completed a one-of-a-kind demonstration of aviation prowess: landing a Carbon Cub on the helipad of Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Jumeriah hotel, 212 meters (689 feet) above the ground. This remarkable achievement has now been immortalized in MSFS, allowing simmers to attempt to replicate Czepiela’s ultimate landing mission.

The Burj Al Arab Jumeriah hotel, known for its ultra-luxurious accommodations and history of hosting global attention-grabbing events, serves as the backdrop for this thrilling challenge. The ‘Bullseye Landing’ challenge was no small feat for Czepiela, who prepared for over two years and completed over 650 practice landings before the actual attempt.

The challenge required him to train by landing his custom-modified CubCrafters Carbon Cub, customised by aviator Mike Patey, within the boundaries of a circle painted on a conventional runway with the exact 27m (88.6 feet) diameter of the helipad.

Starting today, pilots in Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming can try their hand at replicating Czepiela’s historic landing on the Burj Al Arab helipad. The special landing challenge, dubbed the Bullseye Landing, will see sim pilots attempt a high-precision short landing of a modified CubCrafters XCub within the 27m diameter of the helipad. The modified XCub is equipped with a small amount of nitro to provide an extra boost of power, mirroring the real-life mission.

The Bullseye Landing is available now as a free download from the in-sim Marketplace. Time to test your skills!
