We’re just a few days ago from one of the biggest content updates yet for Microsoft Flight Simulator, coming directly from Asobo and Microsoft as the 40th Anniversary Edition of MSFS. Until then, third-party developers continue to be very active with their own releases for the platform, as we see on a daily basis on all the payware and freeware distributors, and every week in the MSFS Marketplace.

The latest content update in the Marketplace brings another host of new addons. There’s a new aircraft for PC and Xbox, new liveries, scenery enhancements, and great new airports!

SimWorks Studios continues to ride on the success of the Kodiak 100 product line, now with the amphibian version that was recently launched through third-party stores. The floating Kodiak is now also out in the Marketplace, adding this aircraft to the Xbox fleet for a surprisingly low price given the quality of the product: just $17.49.

For other noteworthy releases, we have to give a special mention to Burning Blue Design’s Goodwood Aerodrome, an excellent rendition of this historic airfield!

Speaking of history, Redwing is also up to something very cool for MSFS. The team responsible for the L-1049 Super Constellation is on a quest to recreate the golden era of aviation in MSFS with the re-creation of airports and airfields as they were in 1935. It’s a very cool project that we’ll go over in more detail in due time but, for now, check out two new airports in this series, EDDI Berlin Tempelhof and EGCR Corydon, now available for MSFS as a 1935 Edition.
