JustSim releases Dresden Airport (EDDC) for Flight Simulator

JustSim has been releasing a series of European airports for MSFS for a few months, which include some locations such as Stuttgart, Hannover or Brussels. Now, the developers are launching another German Airport, this time in the city of Dresden. It’s the Dresden International Airport (EDDC), located to the north of the city center, which serves mostly European destinations.

Dresden Airport has a long history, after first being commercially open in 1935. As you know, the War broke in Europe not much later, so the airport was used with militaristic purposes since then, first under rule of the Third Reich, and later under Soviet control for army training.

After this, and given Dresden’s location in East Germany, Dresden Airport reopened for commercial purposes, primarily for countries in the Eastern Block. Ultimately, after Germany’s reunification, the airport eventually opened up to the world, and started serving other countries in Europe and even farther, a role that it still serves today.
