The Diamond DA-50RG from Skyward Simulations is now available for MSFS

Skyward Simulations has released the Diamond DA-50RG for Microsoft Flight Simulator, marking the developer’s entry into the flight simulation market. This new addition brings a detailed representation of the modern single-engine aircraft, the most sophisticated single-engined airplane in Diamond’s popular lineup.

The DA50 RG is powered by the Austro Engine AE300, a 300HP turbodiesel engine known for its durability and fuel efficiency. The aircraft’s structure is predominantly made from carbon fiber, which is favored for its strength-to-weight ratio that enhances both the aircraft’s performance and fuel efficiency.

The real-world DA50 RG is a standout in its class for its operational capabilities. It can cruise at an altitude of 20,000 feet and a speed of 180 knots, making it a sleek and efficient cruiser.

Skyward Simulations has now entered the MSFS addon market with their rendition of the DA-50RG, promising a detailed aircraft with the following features:

  • Accurate 3D model
  • True-to-life definition textures
  • Custom-coded systems, including ECU & TKS
  • Ground Idle function simulated
  • Accurate flight model
  • Working Title Garmin G1000NXI integration
  • Included handpainted liveries
  • Immersive custom sounds by Boris Audio Works

An interesting, though not very expansive, spec list that, while not groundbreaking, manages to tick a few important checkboxes. Everyone knows what to expect from the Working Title G1000NXi, so there are no surprises in the systems department, although it does include a few custom systems. Moreover, the sounds from Boris Audio Works should definitely create a superb audio environment, significantly enhancing the overall experience with the aircraft.

The Skyward Simulations Diamond DA-50RG is available now on Orbx for approximately US$16.41 | €15.24 | £13.07.
