AzurPoly, hot on the heels of the Bronco’s release, has begun teasing their next project for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The developer’s latest releases, the OV-10 Bronco and the C-160 Transall, have been very well received, and the team is already looking forward to bringing a new military aircraft for MSFS simmers to add to their collection.

What will it be then? Well, AzurPoly took to their Discord server to share a single image of a landing gear detail, asking the community to guess from which aircraft it could be. The responses were immediate and pointed unanimously to the SEPECAT Jaguar!

The SEPECAT Jaguar is an Anglo-French jet attack aircraft developed in the 1960s. Designed for ground-attack and reconnaissance missions, it became known for its versatility and rugged design, capable of operating from rough airstrips.

Powered by two Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour engines, the Jaguar could reach speeds of up to Mach 1.6. It was widely used by the Royal Air Force and the French Air Force, seeing action in various conflicts, including the Gulf War. Its robust performance and reliability made it a significant asset in military aviation until its retirement in the early 2000s.

As you can see from the rendered image shared by AzurPoly, the SEPECAT Jaguar’s landing gear is quite distinctive and robust. Designed with a tandem arrangement, the main landing gear features long, spindly legs that can handle the stress of landing on rough, unprepared airstrips.

This rugged design was essential for the Jaguar’s versatile roles in close air support and reconnaissance missions, allowing it to operate from austere airfields close to the front lines.

AzurPoly is now a well-established name in the development community scene, so there’s naturally positive anticipation of what their Jaguar might be. The Bronco was released just a few weeks ago and was warmly received, praised for the high-quality graphics, comprehensive simulation of its systems, and extensive customization options.

As details are still forthcoming, the proposed variants and specifications of the AzurPoly Jaguar are yet to be known. However, AzurPoly’s commitment to high standards in their products for Microsoft Flight Simulator promises an authentic and immersive experience that will surely please Jaguar enthusiasts!

That is all for now, but expect to learn more details very soon. Stay tuned!
