NZA Simulations launches NZTG – Tauranga for Microsoft Flight Simulator
NZA Simulations has added another entry into their acclaimed Proline Series, which is dedicated to releasing ultra-detailed sceneries and airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
This week, the team transports us back to New Zealand with the release of NZTG – Tauranga Region. This new scenery pack introduces an expansive and meticulously detailed environment that encompasses Tauranga Airport (NZTG) and its surrounding areas on the picturesque North Island of New Zealand.
NZA Simulations has been crafting some of the best scenery add-ons for MSFS, consistently impressing with their transformation of beautiful spots in Australia and New Zealand into stunningly immersive areas, such as the previously released Milford Sound, Christchurch Airport, and the Mount Cook region. NZTG – Tauranga Region continues this tradition, offering simmers even more reasons to explore the ‘lands down under,’ which provide some of the most beautiful flying opportunities anywhere in the world.
The NZTG – Tauranga Region pack includes three airports and one heliport: Tauranga Airport (NZTG), Waihi Beach Aerodrome (NZWV), Motiti Island (formerly NZOI), and Tauranga Hospital Heliport (NZJA). Each location is fully modeled in 3D with the meticulous attention to detail that NZA Simulations is known for, especially in their Proline products.
The developers continue to focus on offering simmers dynamic and realistic environments. From the realistic runways and aprons featuring full PBR textures to high-resolution custom aerial ground imagery, every aspect of these airports reflects real-world conditions. Notably, Tauranga Airport itself comes to life with a detailed terminal, including an upstairs Koru Lounge, and even animated 3D AI people bustling about.
The pack also captures the local essence with points of interest like the Classic Flyers Museum, which houses five aircraft including the vintage de Havilland DH114 Heron. The Tauranga Port and Mt Maunganui are also featured with custom models, enhancing the scenic flights over these iconic locations.
Interactive features such as animated hangar doors at Tauranga Hospital that open upon landing and custom animated flags that react to the environment enhance the user experience. GSX users will be pleased to find that a GSX Profile is included, enabling higher operational realism and making ground services more immersive.
