Affiliate disclosure
Some links on msfsaddons.com are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller. The price you pay does not change.
That is the whole mechanism, but a few details are worth spelling out.
What this means in practice
When an article contains affiliate links, we note it in that article. We do not hide them, and we do not use link shorteners to disguise where a link goes.
Affiliate commissions are paid by the seller out of their margin. Nothing is added to your total, and you are never worse off for using our link than for going to the store directly.
What it does not mean
An affiliate relationship does not decide what we cover or what we say about it. We review products from companies we have no affiliate arrangement with, we write critically about products we earn commission on, and we have no way of knowing at the time of writing whether a given article will earn anything at all.
We also do not choose which products to recommend based on commission rates. If two products are worth recommending and one pays us more, that is not the one that goes first.
The reasoning behind all of this, along with our rules on advertising and review units, is in our editorial and ethics policy.
Who we have affiliate relationships with
We currently participate in affiliate or referral programmes with, among others:
- Amazon
- Contrail
- Aerosoft
- iniBuilds
- Pimax
- SayIntentions
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Supporting the site without affiliate links
If you would rather not use affiliate links but still want to support what we do, the Captain’s Club is the most direct way. It is reader funding with no third party in the middle.
