Ants Airplanes introduces the CAC25 Winjeel for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Acclaimed aircraft developer Ants Airplanes has added another aircraft to its Microsoft Flight Simulator collection: the CAC25 Winjeel. This Australian trainer, once the RAAF’s primary piston trainer, promises to offer MSFS pilots a captivating and authentic flight experience in a visually detailed and feature-rich model.

The Winjeel’s arrival in MSFS follows Ants Airplanes’ releases of the Drifter Ultralight and, especially, the wonderful Tiger Moth.

The CAC25 Winjeel, a two-seat, low-wing, fixed-undercarriage tail dragger, holds a special place in Australia’s aviation history. Its service with the RAAF from 1955 to 1975 cemented its reputation as a robust, versatile, and enjoyable aircraft for pilots of all skill levels.

Ants Airplanes’ rendition of the Winjeel tries to capture the essence of this aircraft. The model boasts highly detailed textures and animations, reflecting the Winjeel’s unique design. The cockpit is also very detailed and features meticulously modeled systems and controls.

Beyond its visual fidelity, the Winjeel offers a range of features that look to enhance the overall flight experience for simmers. For example, there’s a pop-up tablet that provides convenient access to preferences and autopilot operation, while a pop-up GPS aids in navigation. Persistent fuel and oil settings ensure seamless transitions between flying sessions.

The aircraft also features three custom pilots: a vintage RAAF pilot and modern male and female pilots.

True to Ants Airplanes’ typical commitment to realism, the Winjeel incorporates advanced features that capture the intricacies of operating this aircraft. There are three levels of engine starter realism that users can select from, and the developer has implemented engine oil consumption and sparkplug carbon fouling realism for a more authentic and immersive experience.

Ants Airplanes’s CAC25 Winjeel for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available at SimMarket for a very reasonable $17.95 USD. It should also come to other stores soon!
