Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport is now out for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Orbx’s long-awaited Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport (ESSA) is finally out for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Sweden’s busiest airport now comes to the simulator, thanks to a collaboration between Marcus Nyberg and Jetstream Designs. The partners have devoted many months to creating an intricately detailed and well-researched version of Arlanda Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Orbx’s Arlanda Airport comes with an impressive list of characteristics. This includes functional and correct Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) for every stand, animated jetways, and enhanced interiors for all terminals and SkyCity.

Additional features such as high-quality custom Ground Service Equipment (with a GSX profile), clutter, animated vehicles with weather and time-influenced appearance, and weather-influenced snowbanks and snow trucks should provide a very detailed experience for simmers navigating the airport.

In order to deliver the most realistic experience possible, the development team has also used high-resolution mesh data and aerial imagery for the external terrain.

ESSA Stockholm Arlanda Airport is out now via Orbx Direct, priced at $34.95 AUD (approximately $24.04 USD, €21,93 EUR, £18.75 GBP).

Orbx advises users to ensure that the default ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda installed with the Nordic update is removed to avoid potential conflicts with this highly-detailed custom rendition.
