Sierrasim releases Guatemala’s largest airport for MSFS
La Aurora International Airport (MGGT), the primary airport serving Guatemala, in Central America, is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s a new project from Sierrasim, who is known for its focus on Latin American airports, such as these two in Colombia or the now released La Aurora Airport.
La Aurora International Airport is located around 6 km south of Guatemala City. It was modernized in the last 20 years, in order to accept more and larger aircraft. Currently, the airport serves a variety of destinations across the entire American continent, from Chicago to Bogotá, and is the fourth busiest in Central America.
Sierrasim recreated this scenery with accuracy in mind. From the two main terminals to the military platforms and general aviation hangars, you should expect to see a fairly realistic depiction of this airport, a significant improvement over the default airport.
