Sierrasim releases two Colombian airports for MSFS: Olaya Herrera and Jorge Isaacs

Sierrasim Simulation has released two Colombian airports for Flight Simulator. Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport (SKMD) is located in Medellín, serving both regional and domestic flights, and Jorge Isaacs Airport – La Mina (SKLM), which sits in La Guajira peninsula.

Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport is the main airport here, being the second busiest in Colombia by number of flights. It used to be Medellín’s international airport, but has since been replaced in the role by José María Córdova International Airport, and is now used for regional and domestic flights.

Jorge Isaacs Airport – La Mina, on the other hand, is a small airport that actually sees no commercial traffic nowadays. There is, however, some traffic that makes use of the airfield as an access point to the El Cerrejón mine, one of the largest open-pit coal mines in the world.

Sierrasim is releasing these two airports with improved aerial imagery, PBR textures and realistic buildings, while also including some emblematic landmarks in Medellín, which come included with Olaya Herrera airport.

Both airport are now available for accessible prices. Jorge Isaacs comes at just around $7.00, and Olaya Herrera at $14.00.
