Aerosoft shares new stunning images of the Twin Otter

After the successful release of the CRJ, Aerosoft is now focused on a different type of beast for Flight Simulator. The Twin Otter, which we’ve seen previewed a few times already, is in very active development, aiming for a release later this year.
The work of the development and artistic teams at Aerosoft seems to be coming to fruition, as each new images show an even better, more complete aircraft, one that is looking more exciting each time we take a look at it. In the latest images that were shared on the official forum, the Twin Otter is looking exactly as it should: dirty, worn, full of marks of adventure!
Remember, this is an aircraft that was built to be abused. Its rugged airframe, STOL characteristics, tricycle undercarriage and powerful engines have garnered it a reputation of a go-anywhere, do anything airplane. And that certainly shows on many Twin Otters, with dirt, mud and dust accumulating, a look that Aerosoft is clearly aiming for on their recreation of this celebrated airplane. We love it!
Besides the very cool and detailed textures, these new images also show the Twin Otter with its amphibian floats, a specially nice feature that we can’t wait to try. MSFS is in need of more variety when it comes to amphibian airplanes, and the Twin Otter is an absolute perfect choice for that.
We will continue to follow this project very closely and let you know of any further interesting bits. A release date is not to be expected very soon, but this is definitely an aircraft to keep on the radar!

I’m very fond of the “Twatter” having worked for a regional airline that operated it exclusively in the 80’s. I will keep it on the radar, not under.😀
MSFS Addons
Absolutely ON the radar Louie! 😀 Thanks for the tip!

If it’s anywhere near the price of their CRJ….they can keep it

Wow! Nice textures and details there! If that plane will be as good as the CRJ project, I’m in!

Can I assume this is going to float, and not hover on the water as the images show?
Also…..is there anybody out there that can use the ‘showcase’ camera instead of the stupid zoom lense?
The Twin Otter progress looks great by the way. Looking forward to buying this one.
