It’s been unusually quiet from IndiaFoxtEcho lately, and that silence had started to generate some noise in the community. In a post shared on social media, the developer confirmed they’ve been fielding messages asking whether their in-development MSFS projects had been quietly cancelled. The short answer, in their own words: rest assured this is not the case.
The longer answer is a development update covering three separate aircraft, each at a different stage of completion.
The TA-4J Skyhawk: nearly there, but for the navigation system
The TA-4J has been in development for what feels like forever at this point. The first mention of the project on this site goes back to an IndiaFoxtEcho roadmap post from 2020, and as recently as last July we noted that avionics coding had just begun while the project held a lower priority than the Eurofighter and F-16.
Things have moved on. IndiaFoxtEcho says the TA-4J is now flyable, with the only remaining blocker being the navigation system. Cockpit texturing and some small inaccuracies in the cockpit still need to be addressed, but the overall picture is positive. The developer says they hope to have a beta build ready sometime in June.

The F-16A Falcon: Heatblur has delivered the geometry
The F-16A, developed in collaboration with Heatblur Simulations, was first announced back in July 2024, following the same partnership that brought us the F-14 Tomcat. At the time, the F-16A Block 15 was confirmed as the starting variant, with the C variant left as a possibility “if resources allow.”
According to this latest update, IndiaFoxtEcho has now received the final geometry from Heatblur, though textures remain preliminary. Avionics integration and flight model work are underway. The developer says Heatblur has, characteristically, delivered an excellent 3D model, describing it as likely the most detailed F-16 model ever built for recreational simulation purposes.
In the best case scenario, a beta build is expected by the end of June or early July.
The F-35 Lightning II “2.0”: still no timeline, possibly MSFS 2024-only
The F-35 remaster, which IndiaFoxtEcho had flagged as being in concept phase back in mid-2025, is still moving forward, but slowly. The stated goal is a graphical overhaul to bring the existing F-35 up to the developer’s current quality standards, along with some code optimisation. No schedule has been set, given the scale of the work involved, and IndiaFoxtEcho notes that depending on when the updated models are complete, this could end up as an MSFS 2024-exclusive project.

What about everything else?
The developer mentions several other projects sitting on the backburner: the MB.326, a single-seater Skyhawk variant, and an M-346 upgrade. For now, all three remain on hold while the team focuses on the TA-4J, the F-16A, and the F-35 2.0.
Given that the Eurofighter Typhoon was only released last year after a long development cycle, it’s not surprising to see the team managing a fairly long pipeline of projects at different stages. What this update does provide, for the first time in a while, is a concrete summer window to look forward to, with two beta builds potentially landing within the next six to eight weeks.
We’ll keep you posted as things develop.
