For many simmers, the pre-flight ritual involves juggling a handful of separate tools: SimBrief in one browser tab, Navigraph in another, GSX on secondary screen, and maybe a tablet propped up nearby. iFly Schedules, the web-based scheduling and career platform for MSFS, is now making a case for pulling all of that into one place.
The platform’s developer, Clement, has been building toward this moment for a while. What launched in late 2024 as a straightforward airline schedule generator has expanded steadily and deliberately, adding cargo routes and standby mode, a live flight tracker and in-flight entertainment interface, and most recently a full Career Mode that puts it in direct competition with tools like A Pilot’s Life and NeoFly. We’ve been covering iFly Schedules since its early days, and the pace of development has been really impressive!
The iFly EFB is the logical next step in that story, and it’s now available to download for Premium subscribers.
A full cockpit companion, not just a tracker
The EFB presents itself as an iPad-style interface running its own home screen with a full app catalog. It supports high resolution displays, landscape and portrait orientations, two scale modes, and both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Clement describes it as powerful enough to use as a standalone tool, though it’s built and fully compatible with iFly Schedules’ Free Flight and Career Mode features.
The 17+ integrated apps span the full range of what a serious simmer might want at their fingertips. Flight tracking through the existing iFly Tracker sits alongside a live moving map with route overlay and airport details. SimBrief integration lets you load OFPs and review fuel and weight data without leaving the EFB. Full Navigraph Charts coverage includes SID/STAR procedures, en-route charts, and weather overlays. A Live Weather app pulls METAR and TAF data for any airport. VATSIM Radar gives real-time worldwide traffic with ATC coverage, aircraft labels, and filter controls.
Rounding out the catalog are YouTube, Discord, Flightradar24, Crew Chat, a Briefing app, a Calendar, a Cabin app, and the Fenix EFB, which appears as its own app within the interface.
The GSX Control panel is likely to get some attention among airline ops simmers. The EFB gives you a dedicated panel showing live boarding progress with passenger counts, cargo and baggage loading status, and one-tap buttons for catering, refuelling, pushback, and de-icing.
Already on its first update
The EFB launched as v0.1a earlier this week and has already received its first update. Version 0.1.1a, released on 28 May, adds Wi-Fi streaming support, which lets you access the full EFB from any device on your home network, including an actual iPad or tablet.
Two new apps are also available to install from the App Store: your very own MSFS Addons (yes, you can read our news within the iFly EFB!) and GSX Control.
Pricing and access
