iFlySimX’s web-based scheduling platform, iFly Schedules, has received some significant updates recently, now sitting at version 0.7.3 Alpha. These updates introduced a range of new features and a refined user interface, providing simmers with a more comprehensive and visually appealing way to create and manage realistic airline flight schedules for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The latest update focuses on improving usability and expanding functionality, with highlights including:
Redesigned Homepage
The platform’s homepage has been revamped for a cleaner and more intuitive experience. Users now have three primary options:
- Generate a Schedule: Create custom flight schedules based on various filters.
- Find a Route: Explore predefined routes from airlines and airports.
- Standby Mode: A new feature simulating airline standby operations.
Cargo Route Integration
Acknowledging the release of cargo aircraft like the PMDG 777 Freighter, iFly Schedules now includes cargo operators. This allows simmers to explore freight operations alongside passenger routes.
Enhanced Calendar and Scheduling Features
The calendar tool now supports drag-and-drop functionality, enabling users to easily organize their schedules by flight dates and times. Completed flights are marked clearly, and users can print schedules directly from the platform.
The My Schedule page has also been redesigned for better visibility, showing upcoming flights in a clean, airline-themed interface.
Improved SimBrief Integration
iFly Schedules has also introduced tighter integration with SimBrief. Users of the platform can now fetch generated flight plans by entering their SimBrief Pilot ID, bringing in detailed flight data, including routing, maps, and local time adjustments.
Standby Mode
This unique feature lets users simulate being “on call” for a flight. Once activated, users receive notifications about potential flights during their selected standby duration.
Route Finder
The new Route Finder tool lets users search for routes by airline, aircraft type, and departure airport. This feature generates up to 15 route suggestions, which can be added directly to the user’s schedule.
Future Plans
Clement, the developer, isn’t done yet. While the platform has come a long way, there’s still more to come. A profile system is on the roadmap, allowing users to save schedules across devices. He’s also keen to expand the database of airlines and routes, with an eye toward adding live flight data in the future—though the latter remains a costly challenge for now.
