LivToAir, a relatively new developer in the Microsoft Flight Simulator ecosystem that has already given us the Zivko Edge 540 and the electric Eviation Alice, has announced that its latest project, the Cessna Citation CJ3+, is currently in advanced development and is expected to release in early Q2 of 2025 for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
According to Yaniv, the developer behind LivToAir, the CJ3+ has been in development for the past six months and is nearing completion. The aircraft will feature a professionally developed flight model, a custom Garmin G3000 touchscreen controller, and a custom EFB.
While Microsoft Flight Simulator already includes a default Citation CJ4, the CJ3+ differs in its avionics and operational capabilities. The main difference is that the CJ3+ features the Garmin G3000 avionics suite, whereas the CJ4 comes equipped with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 system. But the CJ3+ is also easier to get in and out of smaller airports. Other than that, you’ll probably have a hard time distinguishing between the two.
Beyond the change in avionics, LivToAir’s CJ3+ will introduce a level of interactivity that extends beyond the cockpit. The fully interactable cabin means that simmers will be able to explore and engage with elements of the aircraft’s interior, which is always a nice immersion boost.
