FS2Crew is back with a new flight crew simulation for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, they’re supporting the Asobo/Hans Hartmann ATR Series, the regional airliner that launched for the platform last year.
FS2Crew has made some changes and promises that this is one of their most in-depth releases yet. This release aims to transform your ATR flying experience by introducing a highly realistic and interactive flight crew environment. It was built in collaboration with the world-renowned ATR pilot, Captain Magnar, whose popular YouTube channel is a treasure trove of information for both real-world pilots and simmers looking to up their game!
According to FS2Crew, Magnar has worked closely with them to ensure the simulation mirrors real-life procedures and interactions. Not only does the product feature his guidance, but it also includes his voice, adding an extra layer of authenticity.
As seen in FS2Crew’s previous editions, like the ones for the PMDG 737 or the Fenix A320, the ATR edition is designed to provide a professional airline flight crew simulation experience. Users step into the role of the Captain, the Pilot Flying, while the simulated First Officer (FO) takes on the role of Pilot Monitoring. This division of responsibilities replicates real-world cockpit dynamics, which those seeking procedural realism will appreciate.
FS2Crew offers multiple interface options, including voice control, button control, and auto-respond. These options let you interact with your virtual crew in the way that best suits your preferences, whether through spoken commands, manual inputs, or automated responses.
The add-on models standard ATR airline procedures, providing a comprehensive simulation of pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight operations.
FS2Crew also includes multiple human-recorded voice sets from around the world, featuring diverse accents and languages. Notably, Captain Magnar’s voice is included, adding a personal touch to the simulation. Additionally, purser and FA cabin announcements are modeled, further immersing you in the airline experience.
If you fly the ATR 42/72 in Microsoft Flight Simulator and want to make the cockpit feel more realistic, FS2Crew’s latest release might be just what you need. With Magnar heavily featured in the product, you can count on the reassuring voice of an expert to help you get the most out of the aircraft on those short regional routes in Microsoft Flight Simulator!
FS2Crew’s Microsoft ATR Edition is available on the developer’s website, priced at €24.99.
