Orbx’s ‘Not So Deadly 3’ adds three new challenging Idaho airstrips to Microsoft Flight Simulator

Idaho is a paradise for bush pilots and keeps getting better and better in MSFS.

Following the release of Idaho’s Deadly 3: Dewey Moore, Simonds, and Vines Airstrips for MSFS this summer, Orbx has now expanded its selection of challenging backcountry strips with “Not So Deadly 3“. This new package, once again crafted by developer Milo Taylor, challenges simmers to fly once more to Idaho and test their skills in the state’s legendary short airfields.

“Not So Deadly 3” includes three airstrips, each with its unique challenges:

  1. I08 Cabin Creek USFS: This airstrip features a 1750 ft slight uphill and is approachable one way. Located directly south of Cabin Creek on Big Creek, it also includes STOL sand bars with three landing spots of varying difficulty.
  2. C48 Wilson Bar USFS: A 1500 ft uphill airstrip with a dogleg on final, also approachable one way. Wilson Bar, along with Marble Creek, offers additional STOL areas for an extra challenge.
  3. ID8 Marble Creek: Known for its 1160 ft tight valley approach, this airstrip is landable in both directions, adding to the variety and challenge.

“Not So Deadly 3” is not just about the challenge of landing on these airstrips. The package is enriched with complementary features that add to the realism and immersion of the scenery, such as animated wildlife, an extensive variety of bushes, grass, trees, rocks, logs, and flowers, and cool effects like smoke, fire, and rapids/water spray.

This scenery is also designed to complement Orbx’s other Idaho products, including KMYL McCall Municipal Airport, 85U Soldier Bar, and “Deadly 3“. It’s also a perfect companion to the //42 Campout Utility.

IDA Not So Deadly 3 – Cabin Creek, Wilson Bar and Marble Creek Airstrips is available now from Orbx for around $12.00 USD.
