Microsoft Flight Simulator welcomes the iconic Boeing 307 Stratoliner

The MSFS team continues to bring the rich history of aviation to the fingertips of its global user base, with an increasing number of historical airplanes made in collaboration with well-known developers in the community. Following the release of the Ford 4-AT Trimotor last week, it’s now time for another iconic airliner to make it into the virtual world of MSFS, courtesy of Aeroplane Heaven: the Boeing 307 Stratoliner.

The Boeing 307 Stratoliner, the first pressurized commercial transport aircraft, revolutionized air travel when it took to the skies in the late 1930s. It was a symbol of luxury and technological prowess, capable of cruising at an altitude of 20,000 feet – above most weather disturbances, a feature unheard of at the time.

Aeroplane Heaven has recreated the Stratoliner with great attention to detail. From the polished exterior, complete with historically accurate liveries, to the faithfully recreated cockpit filled with period-appropriate instruments, this releases promises to immerse simmers in a symbol of the Golden Age of aviation.

In fact, the 1930s were a time of rapid advancements and pioneering spirit. By bringing the Stratoliner to the simulator, the MSFS team is allowing users to step back in time and experience this exciting chapter of aviation history firsthand.

The Stratoliner is available for download now through the Marketplace for $14.99. It comes with four liveries: Boeing Delivery, Emerald Harbor, WorldTravel, and AREA (Colombian).
