ST Simulations continues moving forward with the planned product roadmap for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team is dedicated to re-creating secondary airports and airfields for MSFS, such as the previously-released Bovec Airport in Slovenia and St. Stephan Airport in Switzerland. Now, ST Simulations has gone back to Turkey in MSFS to bring us a custom rendition of LTFG Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport.
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is located on the southern coast of Turkey, by the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a small but modern airport, built just 10 years ago with daily flights to Turkey’s capital, Istanbul. Nowadays, it sees movements to international destinations such as Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Tehran, and more.
LTFG is quite unique in that there’s a highway passing underneath the western end of the runway, a peculiar characteristic that has carried over to this new virtual version for Microsoft Flight Simulator. ST Simulations sought to recreate this scenery with realism in mind, resorting to extensive terraforming work the make the terrain in MSFS match the real-world counterpart in the best possible way.
ST Simulations hope to offer a very significant upgrade to this airport when compared to the default scenery. MSFS simmers will find a Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport that is now much closer to the real-world location, including detailed airport buildings and plenty of custom structures, realistic runway and taxiway markings, and more.
If you’re either exploring Turkey or passing through on a world tour, LTFG Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is definitely an option to consider as a base in Turkey. It’s not often that we see a high-quality payware airport outside of the usual European and American destinations, so seeing Turkey getting a detailed new airport is very much welcome!
LTFG Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is now available from Simmarket, where it’s priced at just €12.15 + tax. Other stores should also have the product on sale soon.
