Fancy a trip to Turkey? Check out Adana Sakirpasa Airport, now out for MSFS

It’s always great when we see an impressive new scenery add-on that enhances a region or a country outside Europe or North America. There are always the usual suspects outside those regions, such as Australia or New Zealand, but there is so much more to see in the world that we often forget about the awesome sights in other countries. Today, we invite you to visit a brand new MSFS airport for Turkey, from ST Simulations: Adana Sakirpasa Airport (LTAF).

Adana Sakirpasa Airport is being released in collaboration with Aerosoft, which is a good sign in terms of the quality you can expect. It’s the first payware airport from ST Simulations, who have released other freeware Turkish airfields, available through their website.

LTAF Sakirpasa Airport is located in Seyhan, one of the most populous metropolitan centers in Turkey. LTAF is currently the sixth busiest airport in Turkey, with over 5 million passengers served per year. Curiously, it’s the oldest airport in the country still in operation.

Sakirpasa Airport is an international airport, but most of the traffic it serves has domestic purposes. Turkish Airlines has daily flights to many other Turkish cities, and there’s an important component of flights to Germany, a country that a large number Turkish people call home.

LTAF has a single runway, which is long enough to accommodate big jets such as the Boeing 747. With an ILS approach, VOT, DMEs, NDB, and other navigational aids, this is a fully-featured airport to shoot some controlled approaches.

ST Simulations says that great care was taken in the adaptation of this popular Turkish airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. There’s a lot of detail here to be appreciated, from the custom buses, ground service vehicles and static airplanes, to the realistic buildings, textures, and ground markings. It’s a truly bespoke airport, where everything was built from the ground up to authentically re-create Adana Şakirpaşa Airport for MSFS.
