Impulse Simulations has been making some nicely detailed scenery add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, such as Coffs Harbour Airport or Adelaide International Airport. In an effort to continue the expansion of their coverage of the Australian territory, the team released this week their first endeavor into the Landmarks Improvement Packs, starting with the city of Cairns, in Queensland.
This is a new product series similar to what Orbx has been doing with their own Landmarks City Packs. The goal is to enhance urban landscapes in MSFS with custom-built landmarks, such as famous buildings, monuments, structures, or natural features.
With this Landmarks pack for Cairns, Impulse Simulations has added over 40 handcrafted 3D models, which range from enhancements in the city itself, like the Casino, the marina, or other landmarks, but also including some nearby spots like Smiths Creek, Barron River Falls, or the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
If you’re looking to expand even further the detail of your Australian scenery in MSFS, especially after the release of the Australia World Update, this Cairns Landmarks package from Impulse Simulations may be just another great excuse to visit this section of the country, maybe venturing into some world-famous nearby locations like the Great Barrier Reef.
