SoFly updates Landing Challenge Pro with 5 new challenges and SU5 compatibility

Landing Challenge Pro launched a few months ago for Flight Simulator, adding a wide collection of new landing challenges to the existing ones already included in the sim. After initially offering 30 challenges when it first launched, subsequent updates have brought improvements to the product, with Sofly even adding new challenges to keep users engaged. That’s exactly what happened on the latest update, which is now available for download.

Now at version 1.2.1, Landing Challenge Pro has been updated to be fully compatible with Sim Update 5, which recently became infamous for the significant changes it brought to Flight Simulator and the difficulties third-party developers faced after its release.

SoFly Landing Challenges MSFS 3 1

Besides the necessary compatibility update, SoFly has also added 5 new challenges with this new version of Landing Challenge Pro, which will test your skills in new airports such as Catalina Airport and the stunning Jackson Hole Airport. Here’s a brief description of each challenge as kindly described by SoFly:

  • Land’s End Airport
At the edge of England, Land’s End Airport is a well-known general aviation field. This is your chance to fly as the student pilots do and land at this cute airport. Watch out as the weather is taking a turn for the worse.
  • Catalina Airport
Your mission today is to take a VIP to the stunning Catalina Island. The early morning mist has yet to rise meaning you may have some difficulty seeing the airport through the mist.
  • Kiwirok Airport
Kiwirok Airport has a unique curve in its runway, which poses a challenge for any pilot. Soar atop dense forests and small villages on your approach to the runway with a difference.
  • Jackson Hole Airport
Jackson Hole is a popular regional airport set deep within Wyoming. The nearby terrain can cause the wind to hit your aircraft with a lot of force, even on a calm day. The sun is setting for your final approach, so be mindful of the terrain you may not be able to see.
  • Douglas-Charles Airport
Tropical Storm Denis has taken over the Caribbean, and it’s your job to land the plane full of passengers in the Dominican Republic. The wind will hit your aircraft from all directions causing you to have an extreme approach over the tropical forests below. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Landing Challenge Pro provides pilots with a good series of interesting approaches and landings, challenging your skills while also introducing pilot to regions of the world they would otherwise ignore. That’s the beauty of these challenges and the bush trips in MSFS. They are a quick way to get into the sim and start doing something fun right away!

SoFly’s Landing Challenge Pro is available for purchase at around 10€.
