The iniBuilds A380 Airliner continues to be updated, improved and streamlined. The development team just released another update for the double-decker, aiming to polish it even further. When version 1.0.3 was released, we wondered if it was going to be the last update released exclusively on the in-game Marketplace, but apparently there was another update in the pipeline. Still no word about the iniManager integration, but today marks 30 days since the official launch, so that transition may be imminent.
Perhaps the most prominent fix this new version brings is getting the TCAS traffic and resolution advisories (TA/RA) working again. But it also includes some significant improvements to flight control protections, navigation and vertical guidance, as well as a set of stability fixes and further refinements. The team also explains they’ve added “additional persistence functionality,” while also improving some of the “aircraft’s visual details and overall experience.” Some of these fixes address issues reported by the community. The full changelog follows.

In order to update your A380, there are two ways to do it. If you stream this plane in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, all you need to do is load the aircraft. It should already be updated to version 1.0.4. However, if you have it installed, you’ll need to download and install this update via “My Library” in the in-game Marketplace. Remember that if you previously had this plane loaded on the main page, you’ll need to pick a default aircraft or the installation will fail.
In our review of the iniBuilds A380 Airliner, we said that “The A380 Airliner is, indeed, an achievement for the company, not just by being able to conceive the biggest passenger airliner currently flying, but also because, as a commercial project, from design to fruition, it’s a masterpiece.” If we piqued your interest in reading more about what we thought about it, continue reading via this link.
