FS2Crew brings airline crew simulation to the iFly 737 MAX 8 in MSFS

Enhance the realism of your flights in the iFly 737 with this latest add-on from FS2Crew.

FS2Crew has released its latest voice and button-controlled airline crew simulation, this time tailored for the iFly 737 MAX 8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This new edition brings the familiar SOP 1 procedures from the PMDG 737 version into the iFly cockpit, offering simmers a new level of procedural depth and crew interaction in this aircraft.

If you’ve used FS2Crew’s PMDG 737 edition, you should feel right at home. This is essentially the same Standard Operating Procedure (SOP 1) package, adapted to integrate with the iFly 737 MAX 8, both passenger and cargo variants. It simulates a two-person airline crew with the virtual First Officer acting as Pilot Monitoring, while you remain the Pilot Flying. Procedures follow generalized Boeing workflows and include an array of cabin and purser announcements, plus GSX integration for a complete gate-to-gate experience.

According to FS2Crew, the product is designed to work “out of the box” with the iFly MAX in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. However, not everything is fully automated yet. The system currently cannot pull certain FMC data like V1, VR, transition altitude, and cruise level directly from the aircraft. These must be entered manually into the Departure Briefing panel.

The good news is that this is a temporary workaround. FS2Crew says it has coordinated with the iFly development team, who have agreed to support FMC data access in an upcoming update. Once that’s in place, FS2Crew plans to update its software to automatically read these values, streamlining the preflight process significantly.

As usual with FS2Crew’s add-ons, the iFly 737 MAX 8 edition offers multiple interface options, including voice control, button control, and a Auto-Respond mode for a more hands-off experience. Simmers can also manually trigger flows via the updated Flow Selector panel, ideal for training purposes or when you want to take things at your own pace.

There’s also a revamped command system with on-screen panels to assist users through each phase of flight. The toolbar integration brings panels like Information Center, Checklist Assist, Flows Assist, and Command Assist, helping both newcomers and veterans get up and running with minimal setup.

FS2Crew: iFly 737 Max8 Edition is available now for €29.99. A €5 discount is being offered to loyal customers with the coupon code IFLY737.

If you’ve been flying the iFly MAX solo and are ready to simulate a more realistic airline crew environment, this release may be worth a look!
