As the year wraps up, Just Flight has given us a detailed roadmap of what’s ahead for their Microsoft Flight Simulator lineup—and it’s a welcome mix of updates, fixes, and exciting new features. With MSFS 2024 now a month into its release, they’re making sure your hangar is ready for the new sim. And the best part? All compatibility updates are free for existing owners. Let’s take a closer look!
Free MSFS 2024 updates for all existing products
If you already own any of Just Flight’s aircraft, you can rest easy. Every product in their MSFS 2020 catalog will be updated to work seamlessly with MSFS 2024—free of charge, regardless of where you bought it. That’s a solid commitment in an industry where compatibility upgrades can sometimes come at an unexpected cost.
PA-28R Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III/IV, and Warrior II
These beloved Pipers have been a staple in Just Flight’s MSFS lineup since 2021. The Warrior II recently received a flight model upgrade based on community feedback, and Just Flight plans to roll similar improvements into the Arrow III and Turbo Arrow III/IV. Expect refined flight dynamics, bug fixes, and full MSFS 2024 compatibility bundled into a comprehensive update.
PA-38 Tomahawk
The Tomahawk—one of Just Flight’s latest GA releases—will also get a free MSFS 2024 compatibility update. The team is currently evaluating whether to integrate MSFS 2024’s new pre-flight walkaround system. The Tomahawk is already a solid little aircraft, and this could bring it even closer to perfection!
Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer
The Hawk is receiving a Version 2 overhaul that includes a brand-new flight model built with the latest MSFS SDK improvements. Additional upgrades include improved navigation lights, smoother animations, and new liveries. Thanks to recent Marketplace policy changes, the visual weapons payloads previously unavailable on the in-game Marketplace version will now be included.
This update will launch alongside MSFS 2024 compatibility, making it a significant upgrade for Hawk owners—at no extra cost.
146 Professional
The 146 Professional remains one of Just Flight’s standout releases, and it’s set to receive further updates in 2025. Building on systems improvements developed for the newer RJ Professional, Just Flight plans to integrate refined systems logic and other user-requested enhancements into the 146. Naturally, MSFS 2024 compatibility is part of the package.
F28 Professional
The F28 is next in line for a Version 2 upgrade, introducing a custom UNS-1 FMS, cockpit customization options, interactive checklists, and more. While initially scheduled for late 2024, this update has been pushed to early 2025 to include MSFS 2024 compatibility.
Vulcan B Mk. 2, K.2 & MRR
The iconic Vulcan is also getting some love. The next update will bring improved smoke effects and visual weapons payloads for Marketplace users—a long-awaited addition. Of course, MSFS 2024 support will accompany these enhancements, keeping the Vulcan ready for its legendary low passes.
FS Traffic
Just Flight’s FS Traffic continues to grow, with a new update introducing additional aircraft models and liveries. Early testing in MSFS 2024 has shown promising results, including better model matching, greater variety, and improved performance compared to the default traffic system.
The Xbox version remains under evaluation due to memory limitations, particularly on the Series S. However, MSFS 2024’s improved resource management may open the door for a better-performing Xbox release.
RJ Professional
Launched in November, the RJ Professional has been well received for its mix of modern glass cockpit technology and quirky systems inherited from the 146. It already has a free MSFS 2024 compatibility update for non-Marketplace users, with a v1.3 update in development to address community feedback.
Existing 146 Professional owners can also take advantage of a 20% discount when purchasing the RJ Professional.
