FlightFX has shared an interesting update on their much-anticipated C750 (Cessna Citation X) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, showcasing the attention to detail and innovation they’re bringing to this virtual business jet. If you’ve been following this project, this latest update offers a glimpse into the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful features that are setting this aircraft apart.
One standout detail from the update? The team has hand-placed a staggering 8,162 rivets on the aircraft. Yes, you read that correctly—each rivet has been painstakingly added to replicate the structural intricacies of the real Citation X.
According to FlightFX, this feat of dedication comes courtesy of team member Marwan Gharib, whose effort demonstrates the level of precision that’s becoming synonymous with the developer’s name.
The update also introduced the first-ever six-axis tablet for Microsoft Flight Simulator, an innovation that promises to enhance usability while maximizing cockpit space. This tablet can be dynamically moved and adjusted, staying out of the way when space is at a premium. In a video shared by FlightFX, the practicality of this feature is evident, along with its ease of use and smooth operation!
This update was mostly dedicated to the visuals (check out that awesome interior shot!) but the team also previewed how they are implementing new weathering effects and grime on the aircraft, giving it an authentic, lived-in appearance that’s sure to resonate with simmers who appreciate realism.
While the C750 is a significant focus for FlightFX, the team has no shortage of projects in development. They are also working on the Piaggio Avanti P180 and the Bombardier Challenger 350 (CL35), both highly anticipated additions to the platform, while also being actively involved in developing first-party content for MSFS 2024, including innovative aircraft like the Jetson ONE, Joby S4, and Archer Midnight.
