FlightSim Studio AG previews the stunning Tecnam P2006T MKII for MSFS

FlightSim Studio AG (FSS) may be busy working on numerous updates for the Embraer E175, but that hasn’t stopped the team from working on exciting new projects for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Tecnam P2006T MKII is a perfect example, unveiled last November and now just wrapping up a beta testing stage ahead of the release in just a few weeks!

FSS shared with us some extensive details about the Tecnam P2006T MKII, and it’s all looking really promising. It already seemed pretty advanced when it was first unveiled in November, but this aircraft is now looking absolutely stunning and promises to be a very comprehensive flight experience for MSFS simmers.

The Tecnam P2006T MKII is currently at the end of a beta testing process and is expected to be released to the general public by the end of February/early March. As usual from FSS, the P2006T will first be available from Aerosoft, to be followed by other stores shortly after. Pricing has not been disclosed yet, but fairly comprehensive documentation is already available for users to take a look at here.

As for the aircraft itself, FSS promises “a perfect replica of the Tecnam P2006T MKII based on a real reference aircraft“, with plenty of animations and, most important of all, advanced and realistic systems.

The FSS Tecnam P2006T MKII is an absolute stunner in terms of visuals. The official product images, some of which we reproduced in this article, are simply gorgeous! Modeling and texturing appear to be at the very best we’ve seen in MSFS so far, with excellent use of PBR and the inclusion of several beautiful liveries from real-world operators. Expect to see plenty of animations too, with a fully interactive cockpit, doors that can be opened, and more.

FSS explains that the Tecnam P2006T MKII will also feature “a customized version of the G1000 NXI by Working Title, a custom STEC-55X autopilot, and a custom tablet. The tablet features aircraft options, a ground power unit, a moving map with flight plan, weight, and balance settings, walkaround, and panel state loading.“

Casual and experienced simmers may find the FSS Tecnam P2006T MKII to be a good choice for their next airplane, especially seeing how FSS seems to be offering some flexibility in terms of the complexity of the experience. The P2006T will feature a realistic mode with functional circuit breakers, an emergency gear deployment system, and a realistic walk-around that is required to operate the aircraft. Realistic engine start, state saving, and other realistic simulation features complete the package for those looking for an engaging experience. An easy mode is also available for those who wish to fly the airplane carefree.

This looks like a very promising project from FlightSim Studio AG, which had a bit of a rough time with the launch of the E175.
