The Gateway of India – Landmarks Mumbai for MSFS
Today we also got the announcement of a new city in the Landmarks series from Orbx. These announcements come fairly regularly at this point, keeping up the pace with the planned product roadmap for this year. After the release of the stunning Landmarks Dubai last month, this week Orbx will be releasing Landmarks Mumbai City Pack, a visual overhaul of India’s massive city in a region that has seen little love from third-party developers.
As usual in this product series, Orbx is adding a bunch of realistic buildings and other landmarks to the city of Mumbai. These include the city’s most iconic points of interest such as the Taj Mahal Hotel, Gateway of India, Omkar 1973, and more.
In total, there will be 16 high-detail models, dedicated to Mumbai’s most important landmarks, followed by more than 100 medium-detailed buildings and structures that will enhance the overall look and feel of this enormous metropolis. These landmarks will extend beyond the downtown, with places to explore on the outskirts.
Helicopter pilots will be in luck, as Orbx is also including several helipads around the city, including the ones in the Antilia billionaire’s residence or in the Shikra Heliport.
To round things up nicely, Landmarks Mumbai will also bring a series of improvements to the overall scenery, with new orthoimagery and terraforming, adjustments to the shoreline and better vegetation placement.
Landmarks Mumbai City Pack will be available later this week, on July 23th.
