DC Designs working on WWII classic P-47 Thunderbolt for MSFS

The Concorde, the F-15 Eagle, the F-14 Tomcat. DC Designs is fully committed on bringing exciting new aircraft for MSFS. The F-15 is expected to be released in the next few weeks, with the other projects in active development. An now we know about another goal of the developer for 2021: vintage aircraft, starting with the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, a World War II classic fighter.

Since supersonic flight is not yet supported in MSFS, for the developer it “makes sense to focus on subsonic aircraft as well”, with a bigger focus on the sound and atmosphere only possible in a vintage aircraft. This new package will include both the Razorback and Bubble-top variants, and will the first of a line of WW2 aircraft DC Designs hopes to release for MSFS through 2021.

There’s no images yet, as the 3D model is still very much a work in progress, but we can expect to have a sneak peak some time in the future.

For now, we can only dream of what it will look like:

If you love classic airplanes, you’ll be happy to know that the Lockheed Vega, the Blériot XI and the Spitfire are also in development for MSFS, among many others. 2021 will be an incredible year!
