Dfflyer Direct specialises in city and airport add-ons for MSFS, built around handmade buildings, marinas, animations, and night lighting. The studio was founded in 2024 by a flight simmer with twenty years of experience in the hobby, and the releases so far have been distinctly personal in character.
What the Montreal pack covers
This is described by the developer as their largest release to date. The package includes over 250 handcrafted buildings across the city, along with dozens of structures that are entirely missing from the sim’s default scenery due to outdated satellite data. Custom marinas, boats, and cruise ships have been added along the waterfront, and the night lighting treatment extends across the whole city with custom signage.
Looking at the screenshots included with this article, the results speak for themselves. The daytime aerials show a downtown that genuinely resembles Montreal’s skyline, with recognizable massing around the central business district. The night and dusk shots are where the pack really comes alive: the distinctive coloured rooftop lighting on buildings like 1000 De La Gauchetière and others in the core, the lit cruise ships at the Old Port terminal, even the La Grande Roue de Montréal ferris wheel on the waterfront. It looks like a faithful rendering of what Montreal actually looks like from the air after dark.
