If you’ve been flying an A320 from the left seat on a MOZA force feedback base, you’ve been doing it with a stick built for the right hand. The co-pilot seat. So what about the Captain side?
Well, today MOZA has released its AIRBUS MA3F Sidestick, a left-hand grip for its AB6 and AB9 force feedback flight bases. It’s priced at $79 / €89 / £79 and it’s MOZA’s first left-hand sidestick grip officially licensed by Airbus.
When MOZA moved into flight simulation in 2025, its Airbus option was the MA3X, an Airbus-inspired sidestick for the right hand, which is the first officer’s side. We tested it alongside the base in our review of the MOZA AB9 with the MH16 and MA3X sticks, and it reproduced the feel of the real stick well. But it only fit the right hand, which was a compromise for anyone flying from the captain’s seat.
MOZA’s flight lineup has grown a lot since then. The company showed its full flight sim hardware ecosystem at FSExpo 2025, then added the cheaper (and excellent) AB6 base and the MTQ throttle last October. This summer it opened orders for its Airbus FCU, Boeing FMC and G1000 panels. The Airbus-style FCU and EFIS module already carried the MA3F name, so the new stick extends a family MOZA has been building around the A320 cockpit.
What the MA3F brings
The MA3F reproduces the shape, grip contours and control layout of the left-hand sidestick in the Airbus captain’s seat. The five-way hat switch is removable, and the included tool lets you swap it for a magnetic cover. MOZA presents this as a choice between extra mappable functions and a configuration closer to the real Airbus stick.

There are also two auxiliary buttons on the side of the grip, which have no counterpart on the real aircraft. The stick’s five physical controls give nine mappable inputs in total, all configured through the MOZA Cockpit software.
The grip uses a lightweight, high-strength composite, which MOZA says its lab tested it to withstand a static load of up to 30 kilograms. It mounts with an aluminum alloy locking ring plus a secondary retention screw. The connection uses a standard 5-pin connector.
The MA3F is sold on its own, with no base included. MOZA officially lists the AB6 and AB9 as the compatible bases. On MOZA’s store, the existing MA3X now appears as the right-hand option next to the new left-hand MA3F, so a two-seat MOZA Airbus setup is possible.

It’s getting crowded
The MA3F costs the same $79 / €89 / £79 as the MA3X, so left-seat flyers aren’t paying more for the license. The bigger question for most buyers will be the base they already own, because none of the current captain-side options work across brands.
Thrustmaster released its own officially licensed left-hand grip in July, the Airbus Add-on Grip. It mounts on Thrustmaster bases such as the AVA and Sol-R, and it ships with an A400M-style module as well. We covered it in our Thrustmaster Airbus Add-on Grip review, where the plastic construction was our main reservation. WINCTRL is also in this space. Its store now lists the 32 Sidestick Controller L.Metal 2.0, a full-metal grip for its Orion 2 and Cyber Taurus bases, as a pre-order with an estimated wait of more than 45 days.
So if you already fly on a MOZA base, the MA3F is the obvious choice for the left seat. If you’re starting from scratch, choosing the grip now also means choosing the base and the brand behind it.
The MOZA AIRBUS MA3F Sidestick is available now from MOZA’s official store at $79 USD / €89 / £79 / AUD 179 / JPY 12,900, and MOZA says orders ship within five business days.
