Projected as an enhancement app for FS Dreamteam GSX Pro, the brand new Cockpit2Ground was announced today, pretty much a surprise for many. Developed by AviationLads, better known for their amazing promotional videos for third parties, in partnership with LAND3 Simulations, the guys behind vRAAS, it replaces GSX’s default voice comms with AI generated voice lines, completely integrating itself in your ground operations flawlessly. The idea, however, is not to “replace” GSX ground ops fully, but to improve them, including some interesting new automations.
For example, you can connect to your Simbrief account and the program will detect the origin or destination airport and add the proper local voice or even the accent based on the airline. It can also do some simple automations, like ask the GSX ground crew to automatically disconnect the GPU when you select to power it off on the airplane’s panel. Another cool feature is that you can control the comms volume from the airplane’s own radio panel. There’s more to it, but we’ll talk about it on our separate review, coming later.

Another great highlight is that Cockpit2Ground is a single purchase and it has quite an accessible price. It will be released next week, September 8th, on the Contrail Online Shop, costing 14,99€ plus VAT (or your local equivalent). Needless to say, since it will only work with FSDT GSX Pro, you will need to have that software installed before you can use this one.
