Managing a big MSFS library has been something the community solved with free software. MSFS Addons Linker has been the default since 2020, and more recently PERFLIGHT wrapped library management and pre-session prep into a free package of its own. So when a new tool turns up asking €11.99 + tax to do a similar job, the first question is a fair one: what are you actually paying for?
That tool is Bob Dispatcher, a desktop content manager from a developer called EK Interactive, now on sale through SimMarket. It launched on 22 May and it supports both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020. The pitch, in EK Interactive’s words, is to cut the time spent manually enabling, disabling and organising packages before every flight.
The parts you’ll recognise from the free tools are all here. Bob scans your library folders and lists everything in one place, with filters by type, region, country and developer, plus search and grid or list views. You can drag a .zip, .rar or .7z archive or a loose folder onto the window, and the developer says Bob will extract, classify and install it once you confirm.
On the flight-prep side, it imports a SimBrief OFP or a manually entered route, works out which airports, scenery and aircraft the flight needs, and enables them, with an option to switch off everything else. That route-aware approach is the same idea behind PERFLIGHT’s Smart Actions. The older MSFS Addons Linker handles the library side: it stores addons outside the Community folder and toggles them through saved presets, but it leaves the flight-plan reading to you.
Where Bob Dispatcher tries to justify its price is in the extras stacked on top. A Launch Flow feature sequences the apps you normally open before a flight, such as chart tools, virtual airline software, voice clients and weather utilities, then fires them in order from a single click. A dependency map lets you link addons together so that enabling a parent item can pull in its related child items. The developer also includes GSX profile coverage analysis, which checks your owned airports against the GSX profiles on your system and offers a full-page diagram view of parking, pushback routes and gates per airport.
There’s also a globe view of every airport you own, a backup-first editor for the MSFS master package manifest, and a one-click shader cache cleanup covering NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Windows D3D and the MSFS rolling cache.
Bob Dispatcher is available now on SimMarket for €11.99, with both MSFS 2024 and 2020 supported. If you’re looking to cut down on the stack of utilities you click through before starting the sim, this could be worth exploring.
