Three days ago we were reporting on a trailer and a “coming soon.” Today, you can download it. Delta Simulations has released their overhauled UH-60M Blackhawk for MSFS 2020 and 2024.
As we covered earlier this week, the team had described this as the culmination of over two years of development. The official announcement puts it plainly: “V5.0 shares little to none with our previous work.” That sounds like an accurate description of what’s been released.
The aircraft has been rebuilt from the ground up. The exterior model is entirely new, with decal-based texturing, variant-specific detailing, and significantly improved panel lines and surface accuracy. The interior follows the same approach, now featuring custom pilot and co-pilot models with VR support. Audio has been migrated to a full Wwise implementation. The flight model has been transitioned to MSFS’s native system, a long-standing item on the community’s wishlist for this project.

The variant lineup has also expanded meaningfully. Alongside the core UH-60M, the release covers the MH-60M, HH-60M, HH-60W, HH-60U, and a new civilian/demilitarized S-70i model. New liveries include an ROK HH-60M and an Australian Army UH-60M, among others. The Bambi bucket has been updated with a simulated water drop and refilling feature, which makes the civilian firefighting role considerably more useful in practice.
On the systems side, the fuel and electrical systems have been rebuilt, while the avionics are described as an ongoing effort, with FDDCP templates now completed ahead of a planned AFCS integration in a future update. Multiplayer variant syncing has also been improved.
One thing worth noting for existing livery creators: the variant rendering logic has been completely reworked, and any liveries older than version 5.0.6 will need to be updated to display correctly.
The UH-60M V5.1 is available now via the Delta Simulations GitHub, free of charge and open-source. Check it out here: Download on GitHub
