Aerosoft and ToLiss detail the A340-600 Pro update roadmap, including a free cargo variant

A week after launch, the team used FSWeekend to share what's coming next for the A340-600 Pro, with the first update already in beta.

The Aerosoft and ToLiss A340-600 Pro launched on March 12 to a strong reception. This weekend at FSWeekend in Lelystad, the team took a few minutes on stage to outline what comes next for the aircraft, and there are a few things worth knowing about.

What’s coming in future updates

The most notable upcoming addition is a cargo variant, arriving as a free update for all existing owners. A340-600 freighters are rare and will eventually be retired in the real world by other aircraft such as the 777X. In the sim, the cargo variant will keep those operations going indefinitely.

On the visual side, the wing is being completely remodelled. Wing geometry has come up in community discussions since launch, and the team confirmed a full rebuild is on the way alongside some minor fuselage refinements.

From the systems side, GSX integration is being improved, particularly around pushback and door handling. Landing rate detection compatibility with third-party tools is also being addressed, after reports that some modules were triggering touchdown detection earlier than intended. The EFB’s chart handling is also being revised, with pinning functionality among the improvements being considered based on community feedback.

First update in beta, introductory price ending soon

The first update is already in beta testing and is expected within approximately the next week. That first update also marks the end of the current introductory price of €69.99, which will revert to the regular €79.99 once it drops. Anyone still considering a purchase has a short window to buy at the lower price. Remember that if you’re a member of our Captain’s Club, you currently get the best price anywhere on the market!

The A340-600 Pro is available now from the Aerosoft store and on Contrail.
