Bluebird Simulations released their first official 757 reveal trailer at FSExpo back in June 2025, and today at FSWeekend in Lelystad they’ve followed it up with a new one, this time with considerably more systems detail on show and a confirmed Q3 2026 release window. For a project that has been in development since 2022 and has had its share of delays and pivots along the way, a firm quarterly target is a meaningful step forward.

The short version: Bluebird has spent years building one of the most technically ambitious aircraft ever attempted for MSFS, and the new trailer is the clearest indication yet of what that looks like in practice.
What the trailer shows
The new trailer leans heavily into specific numbers, which tells you something about where the team’s confidence lies at this stage. Over 300 simulated EICAS messages and more than 200 working circuit breakers speak to the electrical and systems depth that Bluebird has been building toward. The team previously described the electrical system as likely the most complex ever created for MSFS, and a circuit breaker count of 200+ gives that claim some grounding.
The sound suite covers over 500 samples recorded directly from the real aircraft. Dynamic cockpit night lighting features more than 25 individual dimmers and switches, and the exterior model includes over 100,000 rivets and screws across the fuselage and wings.
On the systems side, the FMS has been built from the ground up, the autothrottle and flight control system are custom-coded, and the EFB includes dedicated systems simulation pages. Detailed gear bay modelling and custom bogie animations with gear compression are also shown, and the trailer confirms the flight model has been tested and verified by real-world 757 pilots.
What’s confirmed for release
Q3 2026 is now the stated window, with compatibility for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 at launch. The MSFS 2024 version at release will be a compatible build rather than fully native, with a native edition planned as a free update to follow. Pricing remains confirmed at $80 USD, which covers both the 757-200 and 757-300 with Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney engine options across both simulators.
At that price, Bluebird is positioning the 757 alongside the premium tier of MSFS aircraft. Given everything the trailer is showing, that positioning looks increasingly justified. Q3 2026 gives roughly three to six months of runway. We’ll be watching closely!
