FeelThere releases Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Fly to one of the United States’ most prominent and spatially constrained airports.

FeelThere has released Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, offering simmers a custom rendition of one of the United States’ most prominent and spatially constrained airports. Located in Arlington, Virginia—just across the Potomac River from downtown Washington, D.C.—DCA is known for its proximity to major national landmarks and its complex airspace, shaped by both noise abatement procedures and security considerations.

The airport features three runways and two main terminals and is one of the busiest domestic hubs in the country despite limited international operations and strict operating restrictions. Its close integration with the Washington Metro system and central location make it the preferred airport for many travelers heading into the U.S. capital.

FeelThere’s scenery for MSFS includes a number of standard features found in recent airport releases. According to the developer, the package includes custom buildings with PBR textures, modeled terminal interiors, and a ground layout built with realistic decals, markings, and surface wear. The airport area is covered by orthoimagery sourced from the USGS, and custom modelled jetways are included.

The developer also notes the inclusion of animated elements, such as the Washington Metro train at the nearby station, and updates to the AFCAD file to reflect current taxiway designations, parking positions, and signage. Additional details include improved runway and taxiway lighting, modified airport services, and various ground clutter objects placed using the MSFS SDK.

This release adds another U.S. hub to FeelThere’s growing portfolio of MSFS airports and is available now straight from the developer’s website and SimMarket.
