Carenado shares new images of upcoming Cessna 210 Turbo for Microsoft Flight Simulator

A work-in-progress preview of a versatile GA aircraft in the making.

Carenado is gearing up to bring another classic to Microsoft Flight Simulator, this time with a high-performance twist. The Cessna 210 Turbo Centurion was recently unveiled as the developer’s next aircraft for MSFS 2024, and a new set of screenshots offers our best look yet at this popular high-wing single.

The aircraft, first teased last week, now appears in several high-quality images showing it parked on the ramp, in the climb, and catching some golden-hour light. With its familiar sleek lines, retractable gear, and distinctive turbocharged cowl, the 210 is already looking the part—and the visuals, as usual for Carenado, are up to a very high standard.

The screenshots feature at least two liveries: a classic brown-and-white paint job and a red-accented variation that gives it a bit of retro flair. The exterior model includes all the expected detailing—flush riveting, gear doors, antennas, and subtle weathering. And while we have yet to see how the interior looks, the windows offer a glimpse into the six-seat cabin, where soft textures and vintage upholstery hint at a faithfully recreated interior.

So far, Carenado hasn’t shown the cockpit directly, but based on their previous releases, it’s reasonable to expect a modernized avionics stack, likely with support for PMS50’s GTN750 and TDS GTNxi units. Tablet integration for controlling static elements, doors, and avionics is also a common feature in their lineup and may be present here as well.

The 210 Turbo Centurion occupies an interesting niche in general aviation. It combines the versatility of a high-wing design with retractable landing gear and a powerful turbocharged engine—offering cruise speeds and performance that outpace most piston singles in its class. For simmers, that means a capable cross-country platform with good high-altitude performance and a bit more complexity than the usual fixed-gear crowd.

Carenado has developed the 210 before for other platforms, including FSX and X-Plane.

As of now, Carenado hasn’t provided a release date. The aircraft is still marked as a “work in progress,” and the screenshots reflect that. However, the level of detail shown suggests that development is well underway. Whether it will be released for both MSFS 2020 and 2024 also remains to be confirmed, though past precedent suggests support for both is likely.

We’ll be keeping a close watch for more details as they emerge. For now, this is a promising preview of what could become a new favorite for simmers who enjoy piston-powered touring with a bit more power and speed than usual.
