AzurPoly has released the native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of its SEPECAT Jaguar. First launched in March for MSFS 2020, this new version takes full advantage of the 2024 platform and introduces several new features—including a functioning weapons system for PC users.
The Jaguar for MSFS 2024 is now available on Contrail and SimMarket for $35.99. Microsoft Marketplace users will need to wait just a bit longer, as the release is still pending Microsoft’s processing but expected by next week.
For those who already purchased the MSFS 2020 version, AzurPoly is offering a $4.99 upgrade path to the 2024-native version—provided the aircraft is bought from the same store. New buyers get both versions in the bundle, ensuring compatibility across sim versions.

What’s new in the MSFS 2024-native Jaguar?
AzurPoly says this version has been rebuilt from the ground up using the sim’s modular architecture, allowing for improved performance, better systems simulation, and enhanced visuals. Among the standout additions are:
- Functional weapons system (PC only): Includes missiles, bombs, cannon, and external fuel tank jettison. These are strictly visual and do not cause damage or impact multiplayer environments.
- Interactive walk-around: An MSFS 2024-exclusive feature that lets users interact with parts of the aircraft during preflight.
- Improved visuals: Enhanced textures, tire deformation, better windshield rendering.
- More realistic hydraulics and fuel systems
- Performance optimizations
The new weapons system includes animated releases, realistic visual and audio effects, and accurate trajectories. Note that these weapons are not functional in a combat sense and are not visible in multiplayer. Still, they serve to bring the aircraft closer to its real-world operational capability, at least visually.
Users who buy the aircraft through the Microsoft Marketplace will not have access to weapons out of the box. Instead, they’ll need to download a free PC-only patch from AzurPoly’s website, which also hosts the latest version of the flight manual.
The SEPECAT Jaguar holds historical significance as one of the few Anglo-French military aircraft collaborations to reach mass production, serving with multiple air forces in roles ranging from tactical strike to reconnaissance. AzurPoly’s version is also notable in the MSFS ecosystem: it’s the first Dassault-licensed military jet for the platform, a milestone for both the developer and Dassault’s presence in flight simulation.
AzurPoly’s initial March release featured both the French Jaguar A and British GR1 variants, with a shared cockpit based on the Jaguar A. That still holds true in the 2024 version, though the team previously suggested a GR1-specific cockpit could arrive in a future update.
