It’s a huge news day for Microsoft Flight Simulator and especially for Brazilian aviation in the sim! Alongside the release of World Update 19 and the CAP-4 Paulistinha, the MSFS team has also revealed today an exciting new partnership with Embraer, the renowned Brazilian aerospace manufacturer. This collaboration aims to introduce several of Embraer’s most popular aircraft into the simulator, starting with the Embraer Praetor 600, which will be released later in 2025 as part of the simulator’s Expert Series.

A new era of Embraer aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator

In an announcement on Xbox Brasil (in Portuguese), Jorg Neumann, head of the Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating:

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Embraer, one of the global leaders in the aerospace industry. Embraer’s cutting-edge fleet and innovation-focused approach make them the perfect partner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Our goal is to bring many of Embraer’s aircraft models to the simulator as part of our Expert Series. We are happy to announce that we are beginning this collaboration with the widely popular Embraer Praetor 600, which will launch in the simulator later this year.”

Felipe Alfaia, Marketing Director at Embraer Executive Jets, also expressed his excitement about the partnership:

“We are excited to bring the Praetor 600, the most innovative and technologically advanced super-midsize business jet in the world, to the Microsoft Flight Simulator community. It is a pleasure to see our industry-leading jet arriving in the world’s most popular consumer flight simulator by the end of 2025.”

The Embraer Praetor 600: A revolution in the super-midsize jet market

The Embraer Praetor 600 is a cutting-edge super-midsize business jet known for its unparalleled range, advanced avionics, and luxurious interior. With a flight range that allows for nonstop travel from London to New York or São Paulo to Miami, the Praetor 600 is the longest-range jet in its class.

Key Features of the real-world Embraer Praetor 600:

  • Fly-by-wire flight control system – The only jet in its category to offer full fly-by-wire technology.
  • Advanced avionics – Features a state-of-the-art cockpit with an intuitive interface.
  • Ka-band connectivity – High-speed, home-like internet access.
  • Luxurious interior – Includes a flat-floor cabin, full-reclining seats that convert into six-foot beds, stone flooring, and a vacuum lavatory.
  • Active turbulence reduction – Ensures smoother flights and enhances passenger comfort.
  • Low cabin altitude of 5,800 feet – Reducing passenger fatigue and improving overall comfort.
  • Largest baggage compartment in its class

While the Praetor 600 is confirmed for release in late 2025, this partnership suggests that more Embraer models could be in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator, potentially including aircraft from the E-Jet and ERJ families.

Jorg says the goal is to make several Embraer aircraft as part of the Expert Series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This series is supposed to be a specialized lineup of highly detailed, “study-level” aircraft designed for experienced simmers looking for realistic systems and performance. The first and only aircraft in this series before the Embraer partnership was the Expert Series 01: ATR 42-600 / 72-600, which was developed in collaboration with Asobo Studio and Hans Hartmann.

With the Praetor 600 now confirmed as part of this lineup, simmers can look forward to a high-fidelity business jet experience that replicates the advanced systems, aerodynamics, and performance of the real aircraft. Given Embraer’s diverse catalog of regional jets and executive aircraft, it’s possible that more models will be introduced under the Expert Series in the future.

When will the Embraer Praetor 600 be available?

The Embraer Praetor 600 is set to be released by the end of 2025. Additional details about its pricing, features, and exact release date will be shared as development progresses.
